Automotive giant Volvo which is under the Geely group has announced that they will be making some changes on its upper management to address and meet the company’s goals on the coming years.
The changes are expected to be effective starting on April 14th which is expected to report directly to chief executive Hakan Samuelsson.
We have the ambition to be leaders in the transformation of our business, and this requires a leadership providing clarity for fast execution. This is the purpose behind the changes now make in the executive management structure. We have made many steps in the right direction in recent years, and with this restructuring we will strengthen the leadership to continue that journey.

Four new people will be injected into four areas in the company namely Lex Kerssemakers, Javier Varela, Henrik Green and Hanna Fager.
Kerseemakers will be manning the direct consumer business that includes the regional organizations of EMEA, APAC and Americas. The online business and marketing are also under his duties.
Varela is assigned with the production, specifically the manufacturing and logistics along side procurement and quality.
Green and Fager will head the research and development and the management and communication side of Geely respectively.
